2024 has left us with countless memories from an amazing year for the electronic scene, marked by grand event productions striving to innovate in an increasingly competitive market. However, this often overshadows what truly drives the dancefloor: the music and sound.

That’s why we’re sharing a review of our best experiences from 2024, based on the festivals we attended.

10.- 1991, Culture Shock, Dimension, Sub Focus @ Worship Amsterdam ADE 2024 [Netherlands]

Just securing tickets for the Worship ADE was enough to feel lucky. IJland was a furnace of vibrant energy, reflecting the essence of DnB culture. 1991, Culture Shock, Dimension, and Sub Focus unleashed an artillery of tracks that, for many, are shaping the "golden age" of current DnB scene.

09.- Andres Campo @ Monegros Desert Festival 2024 [Spain]

Few brave souls dare to experience Monegros Festival from open doors, enduring the desert heat of over 38°C. However, it all became easier with a classic techno vinyl session from Andres Campo. It was the perfect energy boost to last through the long night.

08.- I Hate Models @ Free Your Mind NYE Special [Netherlands]

This year, we’ve attended numerous sets by I Hate Models, all remarkable, but if we had to choose one, it would be his New Year’s set. It was just an hour long, but it was the most intense and mind-blowing performance we’ve heard, with constant rhythm changes—a stunning way to end the year.

07.- SPFDJ @ Intercell x Off Barcelona [Spain]

OFF Week continues to establish itself as a premier week of electronic music parties in Barcelona. This year, Intercell debuted in Barcelona and brought SPFDJ to the historic Montjuïc Castle. It was a success, with a lot of hard, melodic and breaks, a wonderful session that had everything.

06.- Tale Of Us @ Kappa Futur Festival 2024 [Italy]

We’ve followed Tale of Us since before their visual collaborations with Anyma became popular. Their performance at Kappa Futur Festival was a gift for those who missed its sets that focused more on their music than on visuals. Featuring several unreleased mashups and a well-done session, it was unforgettable.

05.- Lilly Palmer @ Contact Festival 2024 [Germany]

Lily Palmer stepped into Contact Festival as a last moment replacement for Amelie Lens. Whether it was a chance to prove she’s one of the top artists of 2024 or just her natural brilliance, her set was phenomenal. A showcase of energy, blending techno, hard, and psy sounds, accompanied by an incredible sound system.

04.- Pan-Pot @ Time Warp 2024 [Germany]

We’ve been fans of Pan-Pot for as long as we can remember, and their sets are always a safe bet. Their classic dancefloor techno guaranteed a great time, but at a festival like Time Warp, filled with top techno DJs, they truly stood out with an extraordinary performance.

03.- Adam Beyer @ Drumcode London [United Kingdom]

Drumcode London exceeded all expectations, but the night’s highlight was, unsurprisingly with Adam Beyer. With several track IDs that later became 2024’s top tracks—and a few still unreleased—he delivered a set to remember.

02.- Tiësto @ Kappa Futur Festival 2024 [Italy]

Tiësto at Kappa felt like witnessing the old Tiësto and the new one in a B2B. His set was a gift for both long-time and new fans, featuring classic tracks and mainstage remixes, showcasing his unmatched skill in harmonic mixing.

01.- Armin van Buuren B2B Joris Voorn @ A State of Trance Festival 2024 [Netherlands]

ASOT was a last-minute decision for us, but it ended up being the highlight of 2024. Having followed ASOT since its 450th edition, we’ve seen the trance scene go through many phases. With techno’s current popularity, ASOT included a techno side featuring a B2B between Joris Voorn and Armin van Buuren. Their meticulously crafted set took us on a journey through top trance remixes and 2024’s banging techno tracks—a memory to cherish forever.
